How do I pay on amazon.com?

This is my first time using it. I already made an account. I'm planning to buy a Kaplan PSAT 2011 book. I have no experience with this whatsoever. Do I pay when they ship the book to me? Cash or debit? When do I pay it? When it comes to my doorstep or online? Step by step instructions is appreciated. Thank you! :)
